Willowscript is a personalized children's storybook service operated from Florida, United States. We create custom hardcover books featuring your child as the hero of their own story. Our website is willowscript.com.

When you create a book, we collect:

• Your child's first name, age, birthday month and day, and pronouns
• Photos you upload of your child (used solely to illustrate your book)
• Personality traits, adventure theme, and art style preferences you select
• Your email address (to send your preview and order confirmation)
• Shipping name and address (collected at checkout for hardcover orders)
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers)

We use the information you provide exclusively to:

• Generate your child's personalized story and illustrations
• Send your free preview email and order confirmation
• Fulfill and ship your hardcover book
• Send Birthday Club renewal reminders if you subscribe
• Respond to your support requests

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to fulfill your order (Stripe for payments, Lulu Direct for printing and shipping).

Photos you upload are used only to generate illustrations for your book. We do not use your child's photos to train AI models. We do not share photos with third parties. Photos are automatically deleted from our servers 30 days after your order is complete. If you would like your photos deleted sooner, contact us at privacy@willowscript.com and we will delete them immediately.

Your book's story is written by Claude (Anthropic) and illustrations are generated by OpenAI's image generation models. Your child's name, traits, and photo likeness are used as inputs. Neither Anthropic nor OpenAI trains their models on your personal data or your child's photos as a result of using Willowscript. See our AI Safety page for more detail.

Willowscript is a service for parents and guardians — not a service children use directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. All accounts and purchases must be made by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older. The child's information (name, age, birthday, photos) is provided by the parent or guardian solely for the purpose of creating their book.

We retain your order information (name, email, shipping address, book content) for as long as necessary to fulfill your order and comply with legal obligations, typically up to 3 years. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@willowscript.com.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@willowscript.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We use minimal cookies necessary to operate the site — session management and Stripe's payment processing. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
